I've worked at Wal-Mart long enough for all of my bosses to know that I am deaf. Funny thing is one of my boss was talking to me while I was unloading items from the pellet, I stopped working and tried to lip-read him. Obviously, I missed what he said in the beginning and I asked my him to repeat. He repeated once more. I apologized to him and told him that I couldn't understand him and please repeat it once more. He gave me an attitude and scolded me for mocking him and walked away.
I laughed immediately because I realized that he had no idea that I was deaf and told another manager about it. The other manager forgot to tell my boss that I was deaf and he was complaining about me to my manager that I was making fun of him by pretending that I was deaf and tried to make him repeat what he was telling me. My manager laughed and told him that I was actually deaf!!!
I wish I was there to see the shock on his face!!! It was pretty funny!
