3 years of my life wasted at Best Buy

Well lets see here, were should I begin. I'll try my best to keep this short and to the point, but after being employed buy Best Buy for three years I have lots on my mind. First of all I started out as a part timer in carfi. Loved it at first, but that was before I learned about, you know this stupid clip board full of TOILET PAP... UHH I mean numbers! Anyways long story short I advanced quickly to full time in the PC dept. I then became the senior of the dept. and I have to admit my sup and I were studs. We had the best dept. in the whole Company, and were sent to out to Orlando for Achievers. (Best Sups and Managers get to go if you have the best numbers). Well once I got back, from the trip I noticed that my teams best wasn't good enough anymore. Unrealistic budgets, service numbers getting ridiculous, and the District wanted way more out of my team. Once my sup left, things got worse and worse, then I decided to try Geek Squad, since I have a degree in computers. Did awesome things with service numbers that our district hadn't seen yet. I wrote CCC's I set the bar with training my team and had them performing at the same caliber as I did. Well I was asked to go to another store to help, them out. Once I got there they assured me that I had a better opportunity than the last store, since this was a high volume store and they couldn't get any worse, as far as company ranks go. I implemented a lot of best practices and not only train, but I cared for my team so that I could get them promoted. I really thought I was going to become a manager of some sort of the store. Didn't go that way. I was very underpaid, I was doing my managers jobs. They were bonusing off my talent, and I sent them to achievers again. It is a big slap in the face, when they are suppose to have an open door policy, but when you confront a manager and try to help them, they think they know it all. After about 3 or 4 months of telling my management team the answers of the problems they were trying to fix, I decided to move on. I could speak to the company's numbers better than pretty much any service manger, customer experience manger within this damn district, and yet I get passed up, and get sh*t on. I put a lot into this company and now I realize they don't care, they make profit no matter what your manger says. Best buy as a whole is a great company, but their management teams suck company wide. I have been to 4 different stores and each time was to help fix issues. Same crap all managers sucked, turn over rate was ridiculous. I think the best thing best buy has done for me was push me to my limits and go out and get a better career. So..... That's what I did, I could have gone to HR, but they wont do shit, I figured they would be losing one of their biggest profit makers and that's what I wanted. I know my ex managers will probably see this, and I want them to. So when they get fired and they try to call me for a job, ill tell them, go back to school because, its not my fault that they dropped out of high school and were a piece of crap and became a Best Buy lifer! Anyways San Diego Best Buy stores is a bad place to work, all of them. Out of all these stores there are only 2 individuals that I would die for, and other than that, best buy can eat sh!t and go out of business for all I care. I have never been happier and APPRECIATED like I am now! So fellow ex-best buy employees, I feel your pain, and current employees, I just want you to know that when Best Buy gets hard, F*ck it! Move on I guarantee you will find something better trust me. Stay positive and shop at Circuit city!
