My wife and I had a terrible stay at Country Inns and Suites in Elkhart, Indiana. The place was completely empty yet they had to put us in a room right above the automatic front doors that opened and closed all night. At first I thought it was thunder. Then, the pool and the jacuzzi were in the basement. The ventilation vents were completely covered in rust and I could see mold and mildew spots beginning to form in the tile grout and in seals around the room. The next morning, manager at the front desk couldn't understand why any of this was a problem. I won't be returning to this hotel.
